Murphy's Law vs. God

Our trip this past weekend, reminded me of what happens when everything that can go wrong does and everything that is supposed to go right doesn't. I knew our trip was off to a rocky start with the SIX flight delays. An arrival time to New York at 6:00 pm turned into an arrival at 1:00 am. Coupled with transportation woes, missed reservations, my mom getting left behind at the subway, my daughter arriving to a Broadway play at intermission, my unsuccessful quest to find NY pizza and other snafus left us three feeling some kind of way about the Big Apple. But God. He sent an angel to help her reunite with us after we got separated at the subway. To the ticket counter agents that waived baggage fees and gave us later return flights with no charge. To the hotel staff that provided a shuttle even though we didn't have a reservation. To the celebrity guest host on The View who remembered by request for a photo op. And especially my line sister who heard the worry in my voice and knew that several hugs, many laughs and a ride back to our hotel, was just what the Doctor (God) ordered.

Somehow, someway, when it seemed like everything was going WRONG. He stepped RIGHT in! Murphy may have it’s law. But it can’t match Who rules over all and remains on the throne.
